Hence, it is important to keep a checklist ready for all types of trips so that you can go through it whenever you start packing your stuffs. If your checklist is not ready; then don’t worry! Choosing The Right Bag

Begin with selecting the right travel bag for your trip. It is always advisable to carry a compression sack as it will minimize the space and volume of bulky stuffs like a sleeping bag. A lightweight backpack with several pockets and compartments would help you in packing your belongings easily. If you are traveling with children then it is advisable to pack kids luggage in backpacks that they can carry comfortably. Always carry an extra empty bag for the shopping that you do during your trip.

Important Documents

The most important documents should always be packed first so that you do not miss them packing in the last minute. A few of them to name are passport, visa, tickets (airline, boat, train, bus, cruise), travel documents, hotel booking documents, driving license, travel insurance card, cash (local currency and foreign currency), credit cards, debit cards, personal identity cards, health insurance cards, printed itinerary, tour reservations, emergency contact details, important addresses, maps, and boarding pass. Ensure that you carry a photocopy of the most important documents, just in case you misplace them.

Clothing List

Depending on the season that you are going to travel, you should pack your clothes. For instance; if you are traveling in summers then pack lightweight cotton clothes, t-shirts, tank tops, jeans, shorts, belt, socks, sleepwear, underclothes, scarf, hat, and sunglasses. Similarly, if you are traveling during rainy season then carry raincoat, umbrella, rainy shoes, and extra set of clothes as they may get wet often and would take time to dry up.

Essentials For Activities

To have a wonderful holiday, you would have certainly thought about the innumerable activities that you would do in your trip like swimming, snorkeling, parasailing, and more. So, depending on your preferences, you should carry essentials like swimming costume, swim caps, goggles, masks, big towel, bathrobes, snorkel mask, scuba diving gear, hiking shoes, and a ball to play on the beach.

Accessories To Carry

With all the vital gadgets that you would carry like laptop, smartphone, camera, video camera, and iPad, don’t forget to pack its accessories like cell phone charger, adapter, ear plugs, electric converters, headphones, memory card, and laptop charger. Women can carry jewelry, artificial accessories, hairpins, rubber bands, and a small pouch to keep expensive jewelries. In case you are planning to wash clothes then carry a detergent and a thick nylon thread that you can tie anywhere to hang wet clothes. Facial tissues and toilet paper are the two essential toiletries that you must carry.

Medical-kit

If you are traveling with kids then you need to carry a small first-aid box with all basics like band-aid, cotton, thermometer, antiseptic liquid, nail cutter, tweezers, insect repellent, ointment for bruises, and cream for burns. In case you are already having some medicines that have been prescribed by the doctor, then do not forget to pack them for the entire trip. Few commonly used tablets or syrups should also be packed for stomach pain, motion sickness, fever, headache, diarrhea, acidity, and sunstroke. Eye drops, sleeping pills, birth control tablets, condoms, and multivitamins should also be packed safely.
