Beaches
Oh, you know we’re kicking this off with the unbelievably beautiful beaches of Mallorca’s coast. The 500km long coastline has more than 200 beaches for you to choose from! There’s no way we can choose a favorite or the best one. We’ll just give you something to make your jaw drop. You won’t be able to resist paying a visit to any of the beaches we’ve elected.
Calla Agulla
Situated on the northeast coast of Mallorca, right at the historic town of Capdepera, this beach is a soulful combination of white sand, pine trees, and beautiful landscapes. It’s remote and low-key, perfect for reconnecting with nature.
Playa de Formentor
This beach lays in the northwest of Mallorca. The water is crystal clear and the pine trees create a shade along the amazing coastline. It’s one of the tourists’ favorite.
Cala Pi
If you head south, don’t miss out on visiting this beach, secluded between two rocky cliffs.
Playa de Alcudia
A great family-holiday destination in the north part of the island. This beach is one of the most popular in all of Spain. It has 7km of sandy beach and countless hotels stretching along the coast. We could go on listing Mallorca’s incredible beaches all day long! Still, you’ll have to make a choice of your own. Make sure to visit as many as possible once you get there.
Active & Adventurous
Mallorca offers numerous options for getting an adrenaline rush, spending quality time outdoors and being in touch with nature. Explore the ways in which you can spend some amazing time outside and give yourself the ultimate Mallorca experience.
Look for excursions or organize your own. Here’s what Mallorca has to offer:
- Hiking – Explore the best trails on foot.
- Cliff jumping- no need for special equipment, just some courage.

- Cathedral de Mallorca– often referred to as La Seu. Dating back to the 13th century, the cathedral is glorious in all its beauty and dominance. Its magnificent lighting and numerous windows create a ceremonial atmosphere.
- Castell de Bellver-the former royal stronghold and the current historical museum is a vivid example of a Gothic-style 800-years-old castle.
- Royal Palace of La Almudaina- don’t miss out on seeing the official residence of the King and Queen of Spain, and find out how it has changed since it was built in the 14th century.
- Nuevo Pueblo Español- this replica of a medieval Spanish city is almost like a guidebook to Spanish architecture.

It seems like Mallorca has had it enough with always being in the shadow of its sister island Ibiza when it comes to partying and having fun. The nightlife is seriously upping the game with bars, beach nightclubs, party hotspots and ongoing social events for everyone’s taste.

Getting Around
Before we wrap this up and let you daydream a bit more, here’s some valuable information on how to get around on the island, and what to expect.
- Palma de Mallorca Airport has frequent flights and is very well connected. The flight tickets might be more expensive than those in Barcelona or Madrid, but they take you directly to the island.
- Rent a car is the best way to explore all the wonderful areas of the island.
- the Euro is the currency.
- Spanish and Catalan are the official languages.
*The Spanish are not so keen on speaking English so you might consider learning some basics of their language before you go.
- For a full-on summer experience, visit Mallorca from June to August.
