Mostar, the Pearl of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Mostar is a city in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is one of the most important cities in the Herzegovina region. Total population of Mostar is 113,169 people. Its cultural capital, and the center of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation. Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and is the fifth-largest city in the country. The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most recognizable landmarks

Mostar was one of the most destroyed cities during the war in Bosnia, but even today it has enough preserved architecture speaks to the rich cultural past of this city. The most famous attraction here is the Old Bridge, and though this, the city abounds with beautiful Islamic architecture.
