St Patrick’s Day – 12 Photos of Celebration

Saint Patrick’s Day or so called Feast of Saint Patrick is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated on 17 March. This date is the date that is widely accepted to be the patron of the saint who brought christianity in Ireland, St Patrick.

The first color associated with Saint Patrick was blue. Over the years the green started becoming more and more associated with St Patrick’s day. The green color started the be worn as a green ribbons and shamrocks from the 17th century. St Patrick used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the Irish people which in that time were pagans. So thats why the shamrock is the logo and the theme of this day.

In this article you can find different ways how people (mostly Irish people) celebrate this St. Patrick’s day.
