With half a million citizens, Tallinn is the capital and largest city of Estonia. This perfect place covers an area of 159.2 km2and located on the northern coast of the country, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland its bound aries extend south of Helsinki, east of Stockholm and west of Saint Petersburg. Tallinn is a city with two faces – old and new part of town. Old town is a UNESCO historic cultural monument because it is a wonderful place with authentic buildings and stone cube squares where each bar and shop has such old spirit. Hanseatic architecture is recognizable Tallinn’s medieval Old Town. Some streets and houses date back as far as to 11th century.

What I’m trying to say is that the old town is full of walls, parts of the former cathedral systems and castles. The new part of the city is urban opposite of old and its modern center is in step with global standards. There are wonderful shopping malls, business buildings and urban environments which are worth to see. So if you decide to visit Tallinn do not forget to bring a watch or you will be confused and lost in time. There, the day seems to lasting until 11 pm. The most amazing and especially interesting thing is the impression of so long day because the sun disappears only 2 to 3 hours. This city is small and that is the reason why the tourist areas are safe and easily explored on foot. Tallinn has a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold, but snowy winters – you can visit this city whenever you want.
