Isle of Skye is the largest and most northerly large island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. The coastline of the Isle of Skye is a series of bays and peninsulas. This island is one of the most favorite islands in the world, and 4th best island, recently voted on National Geographic Magazine. Here the sharp Cullin ridge drops to the white and soft sand beaches. The bays, rivers and small islands creates a great landscape for the eyes. Fairy Pools, Glen Brittle

Fairy Pools are the best place to go mount biking or hiking. It is located by the peaks of Glen Brittle and it holds only positive powers.

Old Sligachan Bridge

The oldest known bridge is that still standing alongside the modern road. Whether it replaced an even older bridge, or more likely a ford, is uncertain. The bridge itself appears to have been built in the 1820s and consists of three arches.

Portree

Portree is the largest town in the Isle of Skye. It has a harbor fringed by cliffs. This town serves as a center for tourists for exploring this island.

Dunvegan Castle

Dunvegan Castle curtain wall was built in 13th century and the whole castle in 14th century in 1350. It is the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland and has been the stronghold of the chiefs of the clan for 800 years.

Museum of Island Life

The Skye Museum of Island Life at Kilmuir, Isle of Skye was opened in 1965. The aim was to preserve a township of thatched cottages, each one depicting, as closely as possible, the conditions prevailing on the island at the close of the nineteenth century… More info on www.skyemuseum.co.uk.
