5 Of the Most Beautiful Places in America

Given the sheer size of America, it’s no surprise that it’s filled to the brim with landscapes and biomes of all kinds. From stifling heat and dusty deserts in the south, through to icy roads and snow-capped mountains in the north, there’s plenty to do and see. We’ve decided to look into some of the most beautiful places in the whole of this vast country. So grab your passport, take a look at US visa registration, pack a bag and get reading! Here are our five most beautiful places in America.

Yosemite National Park, California

Yosemite National Park is so much more than just the well-known great valley, though it’s easy to see why visitors spend most of their time there. Across the whole of the nearly 1,200 square miles of national park you can find plenty of waterfalls, deep valleys, stretching meadows, giant sequoias, wilderness, and so much more. This dramatic landscape has been the subject of many a photographer for decades, and travellers have been marvelling the breathtaking views for centuries.

The Grand Canyon, Arizona

The Grand Canyon is one of the most popular tourist destinations in all of the USA, with around 5 million visitors every year. Whether you hike through it, take a helicopter ride over it, or even take up a little white water rafting along the canyon’s floor, there’s something to do for everyone. The views are stunning, spanning wide and far – so much so that no photograph or statistic can truly capture just how huge of a sight to see this really is.

Hamilton Pool, Austin, Texas

The Hamilton Pool in Austin, Texas, is a natural pool created thousands of years ago. When the dome of an underground river collapsed, this pool was created, and has been a popular swimming spot for visitors and residents alike. This amazing location features large slabs of limestone that rest by the water’s edge, 232 acres of protective natural habitat, and a jade green pool into which a 50-foot waterfall falls. In short, it’s like something out of a paradise movie, and easily makes our list.

Savannah, Georgia

Savannah is the oldest city in Georgia to date and is a complete rarity in the United States. Wader down cobblestone streets of traipse through the leafy downtown – which just happens to be one of the largest National Historic Landmark districts. There are plenty of old buildings to marvel, and you can easily reach the coast and the riverfront. Pile on top of all of that the fact that Savannah is one of the friendliest places in all of the USA, and you have a beautiful location both visually and in its people.

Crater Lake, Oregon

It’s no secret that Oregon is quite the beauty in and of itself, with around half of the entire place being mostly forested, but this state also boasts beaches and beach rocks featured in some iconic films – Does The Goonies ring any bells? – But it’s Crater Lake that we’re focusing on. This lake is the deepest in the whole of America, created when Mount Mazama collapsed over 7,000 years ago. This lake is famous for its deep blue colour and how clear the water truly is, and the landscape is only a bonus to this already breathtaking location.
