Blue Lake – The Cleanest Lake in The World

Blue Lake or Rotomairewhenua the Maori language, is a small fresh lake in Nelson lakes National Park in the northern areas of the Southern Alps in New Zealand.

In a study conducted in 2011 by several visits by helicopter and special equipment, researchers from the National Research Institute leads and atmosphere (NIWA), found that the lake has extreme visual clarity to optical breathtaking 80 meters depth, which is almost pure as distilled water.

Lake is characterized by blue-violet color, which can be seen only in the clearest natural waters. In spring the lakle is loaded from neighboring glacial Lake Constance, and the water passes through the dam formed by landslides sliding. The natural dam filters almost all particles present in the water, giving the lake the most intensive blue-purple color.

If you want this summer to visit new place and enjoy in the natural beauty of mother nature, amazing landscapes and crystal clear water then we suggest to go to Nelson lakes National Park and visit the Blue Lake. Here you can see some awesome photos of the lake that will gonna love it.
