The castle was rebuilt in 1649 in Baroque style. In 1811 the castle was burned in a fire and remained as a ruin until the 1950s when it was rebuilt again. Today it has the form of mid-20th century. Its structure is composed of 4 towers and a courtyard with an 80m. The interior contains fragments of old Gothic construction elements. If you want to see a furniture from 16th century, first walk the first floor where you can find the rooms of Slovak parliament — the National Council of the Slovak Republic. If you enter inside the castle, on the second floor you will notice the exhibitions of the Slovak National Museum. And also, not to forget the third floor – the exhibition on the History of Slovakia. The area in front of the caste which is bounded with two triumphal gates is called Yard of Honor.
