Jeju Island, formerly known as Cheju Island is a island in South Korea. This island is known as “Island of Gods”. Place that is a popular vacation destination not only for the koreans but also for all foreigners. Jeju Island is also known as a honeymoon destination all over the world. Place where almost all newlyweds in Korea go. Island that is always compared and told to be the “Korean Hawaii“.

On this island tourism is the main economical branch. Jeju City is a capital city of the island and there are many hotels that can be found in the capital or all over the island. It also provides great tourist attractions and activities. The main attraction is the volcanic mountain Hallasan, which you can hike. The other known place is Seongsan Ilchulbong. The lava tubes formed in the past when the volcanos of this island were active are also a great attraction for the tourists. The rocks shaped from the hot lava are unique and great decoration on everything that is on this island.

There are many places you can see on Jeju Island like: Manjanggul Lava-tube, Seongsan Ilchulbong, mount Hallasan, Hallim Park, Icho Beach, Cheonjiyeon Waterfall and more natural places. There are also museums like Jeju Educational Museum or Green Tea Museum and ten more equally interesting. But never forget to visit Jeju folklore villages. Seongeup Folklore Village is one of those more famous.
