Photographers offered a rare opportunity to have their work judged by Rankin in new collaboration with Pearson

Photographers around the world are being offered a rare opportunity to have their photography judged by Rankin, the influential British portrait and fashion photographer and co-founder of Dazed & Confused magazine, as part of a collaboration with the world’s leading learning company Pearson and Talenthouse, a creative collaboration platform and community of artists across art, design, fashion, film, photography and music.

Photographers are being invited to capture the magic of learning and education through striking and memorable imagery that creates an emotional connection with the viewer.

Selected photographers will be awarded a cash bursary for each photograph chosen for Pearson’s official photo library, and have their work credited and showcased across Pearson’s official channels. Additionally, a select number of photographers will be offered career opportunities with the potential to continue to work on paid projects for upcoming Pearson projects.

British celebrity photographer Rankin said: ‘Working with Pearson and Talenthouse, we are aiming to create a collection of beautiful and evocative images that capture the power of learning in all its diverse forms.  We are inviting photographers from around the world to get out their cameras and submit candid and creative expressions of the learning journey.’

Rebecca Sinclair, Global Brand Architect, Pearson, said: “When we think about education, the focus tends to be on the inputs or result and rarely on the learning journey itself.  We want to capture the magic of learning, inside and outside the classroom, through the power of photography.  We’re honoured to be partnering with Rankin, one of the UK’s most influential and talented photographers and Talenthouse on this exciting project.”

Maya Bogle, Co-founder of Talenthouse said: “At Talenthouse our ambition is to create a supportive home for photographers from around the globe; one which empowers, rewards and makes connections to further their career. This partnership with Pearson and Rankin opens the doors for photographers to have their work showcased, make money, and have their photography seen by one of the most important and influential living photographers around.”

Photographers have until 18 August at 6pm GMT to submit their ideas here
