The Relaxing Side of Almost Paradise Resort

Almost Paradise Resort is being designed to become a new eco-friendly resort envisioned by the Sahota family, which is planned to be developed on a 50.86-acre parcel of land that includes 1,200 feet of pink sandy beachfront on Cat Island’s world-famous Greenwood Beach.

Pending necessary approvals, when complete Almost Paradise Resort will offer paid members (who own villas, rent villas, or stay in the hotel) a wide range of world-class amenities and facilities, including venues within the estate: a wedding venue, health and wellness spa, gym, and world-class dining.

Wellness Spas

“Our health and wellness spa will feature spectacular views of the pristine, purifying and rejuvenating turquoise waster of the Caribbean, and will be staffed by a certified and experienced yoga instructor,” commented a Sahota family spokesperson. “Our gym will feature state-of-the-art equipment including free weights, treadmills, exercise bikes, stair climbers, and more. Our banquet hall will be complemented by an event garden that is ideal for hosting weddings, parties, celebrations, and any other outside gathering.”

World-Class Dining

At Almost Paradise Resort, guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy upscale restaurants that accommodate the preferences of all ages and demographic groups. While many venues will cater to the local Bahamian cuisine, individuals can also experience the flavors of various other countries including, India, Mexico, and Italy.

Kiteboarding

Of course, folks who are fortunate enough to spend a little time at Almost Paradise Resorts will not be limited to staying on terra firma. The Continental shelf is located mere yards from the estate and offers unforgettable diving, sensational kiteboarding, and remarkable snorkeling.

“Cat island is famous for its miles of drop-off and wall diving, from the famous Columbus Point all the way to Devil’s Point, showcasing every kind of reel fish that the Caribbean has to offer,” commented a Sahota family spokesperson. “Kiteboarding over the water has to be experienced to be appreciated, and Cat Island’s wide sandy beach and steady wind is the perfect place for adults and children to learn about this surface water activity that is a combination of wakeboarding, snowboarding, windsurfing, surfing, paragliding, skateboarding, and gymnastics. And on top of all of this, there are snorkel tours off fabulous Greenwood Beach, which features the clearest waters in the Bahamas. It promises to be an unforgettable adventure for individuals and groups.”

Hiking Tours

Back on dry land, members can enjoy hiking tours to the famous Mt. Alvernia Hermitage on Mount Alvernia, which is the highest point in The Bahamas. This small stone monastery was hand-built, and accessible by a trek up a steep rocky incline. Horse tours of Greenwood Beach are also available to explore, as are multiple organic gardens throughout the estate.

“There will always be something for our members to do, whether they are in the mood for a thrilling adventure, or wish to relax and unwind,” commented a Sahota family spokesperson. “And when their attention turns to dining — either a quick bite between activities, or a gourmet engagement with family and friends — they will have plenty of options.”

Ensuring an Environmentally-Friendly Resort

Another notable element of the Sahota family’s master plan for Almost Paradise Resort is the attention paid to the environment. The plans call for a modular and expandable solar farm, modular and expandable water treatment plant, and modular and expandable wind farm.

“Ensuring that Almost Paradise Resort protects and enhances the environment is, and will remain, among our top priorities,” commented a Sahota family spokesperson. “This includes preserving the water and coral reef, as well as safeguarding and nourishing trees across the estate. Our vision is to harmonize with nature and give our members the very best of both worlds: state-of-the-art amenities and luxuries, along with unfettered access to some of the most beautiful and breathtaking natural landscapes and seascapes not just in The Bahamas, but in the entire world.”
