Its name means big water and has Indian origin. Michigan Lake completely belongs to the United States and covers 57,750 km2 of that area. The units of measurement are 494 km length, 190 km width and its level expands 176 m above sea. This lake fascinates and amazes with its natural beauty. There is nothing more charming than the landscape which is formed by the lake.

Lake Michigan is surrounded by major cities like Chicago, Milwaukee, Gary, Hammond and about 12 million people live along its coasts.
