Nauru

The Republic of Nauru, which was formerly known as Pleasant Island is a little country in the Central Pacific forming part of Micronesia. Its neighbor islands Banaba, Tuvalu, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Marshal Islands and the Federal Republic of Micronesia are more or less 300 km away from it. Only Vatican City and Monaco are smaller than Nauru which has a territory of about 21 square km and only about 10.000 inhabitants, what makes it the smallest state in the South Pacific.

Brunei

Brunei is a small piece of land located in southeastern Asia, forming part of the north coast of the island of Borneo. The South China Sea is what makes this country so special. Burnei is the only sovereign state completely on the island of Borneo. The rest of the territory belongs to either Malaysia or Indonesia. It has a population of about 408.000 inhabitants. It might happen to be the least-known country in the region, however owning one of the most beautiful landscapes.

Kiribati

Kiribati is another island on the Pacific Ocean with a population of about 110.000 inhabitants. It is a country that used to be reigned and belonged to the United Kingdom until the year of 1979. Its capital is South Tarawa. Kiribati is a member of the World Bank and a full member of the United Nations since 1999. Just take a look at the transparent water, the sandy beaches and perfect landscapes and regret not having the opportunity to enjoy this pleasures every single day.
