We all know it can be difficult to think of things to keep us occupied during the lengthy and dark months of Winter, particularly after a long week of working. But, welcomed by an array of City light switch-ons, Christmas brings a time packed full of fun things to do and a promise that you won’t get bored.

Britain’s First Ice Village

Christmas has officially begun in Manchester as it launches Britain’s first ever Ice Village made entirely out of… you guessed it… ice! A steam train crafted entirely from ice will mark the beginning of an unforgettable journey. Throughout the journey, the story of Manchester is told with ice sculptures referencing famous local historical figures. This is joined by recognizable festive figures such as Santa in his mighty frozen throne, and a toy factory filled with a team of busy helpers. A beautiful array of arctic animals are also included such as polar bears, reindeer and snow foxes, not forgetting a delicate robin that can also be spotted.

Festive Drinks

Tis’ the season to be Jolly! Whether you are looking for a catch up with friends or a Christmas night out with work pals, the City is exactly where you need to be offering a whole load of Christmas party venues Manchester based, with an abundance of festive feasts and cocktails to enjoy.

Ice Skating

We all know it’s difficult staying active during the long winter months. A great way to do this is by swapping your slippers for some skates and heading down to your nearest Ice Rink! It’s also a perfect way to spend some quality time with family or have a Christmas night out with friends during the festive season. A hot chocolate to warm the fingertips at the end of the session is also extremely gratifying!
