1. Fiji Island
The island of Fiji which official name is the Republic of Fiji is an island country in the South Pacific Ocean, Melanesia. It is located about 2,000 km away from New Zealand. It is actually an archipelago that consists of about 330 islands out of which just 110 are inhabited. The two biggest islands are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. 2. New Caledonia
Another pearl part of Melanesia is the French island of New Caledonia, or better said the collection of islands that form this beautiful unity. It is located in the southwest Pacific Ocean, about 1,200 km away from Australia. New Caledonia consists of the islands of Grande Terre, the Chesterfield Islands, the Isle of Pines, the Belep archipelago and several smaller islands all of them located one close to another. The capital is called Noumea. New Caledonia is known for its beautiful nature, friendly local people and delicious traditional food.
3. Seychelles
Seychelles or the Republic of Seychelles it’s an archipelago located in the Indian Ocean. The capital of Seychelles is Victoria. The nearby islands are Mayotte, Madagascar and Mauritius. With a population of only 92,000 people, Seychelles is the smallest by population of any other sovereign African country.
