The island Lošinj it is known as an oasis of pure nature and aromatic plants. Cres and Lošinj in the past represent one island, but in Roman times because of the needs of trade was separated by an artificial canal at Osor. The island is part of the Cres-Lošinj island group. It is the largest settlement on the island and also the main administrative center.
